design challenge: Using the media provided, create visually strong social media advertisements that engage the audience to learn both the Japanese and English lyrics while promoting the J-Pop group as a whole.
solution: Deciding which imagery to use was important in moving forward. The design team decided on images with popping colors and striking patterns to help draw attention through the media. Moving forward, the team decided on four songs and translated the lyrics into English and the “romanized” version so that fans could sing along with the Japanese lyrics at the concert. The media was then designed to have an adorning hashtag for interaction and they were released each week, four weeks in total, to help promote the group and excite the fans.
